Refund and Cancellation Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how refunds, cancellations, deposits and project changes are handled by Pixar Yard Studio.
By paying a deposit, making a payment, or approving a quotation, you agree to this policy.
1. Deposits
A deposit may be required before work begins. The deposit secures your project slot and allows us to begin planning, research, design, setup and communication work.
Deposits are generally non-refundable once work has started.
If a project has not yet started and you cancel in writing, we may consider a partial refund, depending on any time, costs or preparation already completed.
2. Cancellation by the Client
You may cancel your project at any time by giving written notice by email or message.
If you cancel after work has started, you will be charged for the work already completed, time already spent, and any costs already incurred for your project.
If the amount already paid is less than the value of the work completed, you may be required to pay the outstanding balance before any completed files or work are handed over.
If the amount already paid is more than the value of the work completed, we may issue a partial refund at our discretion.
3. Refunds After Work Has Started
Because website design, development and setup services involve custom work, refunds are not normally given for work that has already been completed or partially completed.
This includes work such as:
- consultation and planning
- website structure and page planning
- design concepts
- development work
- domain, hosting or email setup support
- content placement
- revisions
- testing
- client communication and project management
4. Completed Projects
Once a website, design, document, setup task or other agreed service has been completed or delivered, payments are non-refundable.
If there is a genuine issue with the delivered work, we will first try to correct the issue within the agreed project scope.
5. Revisions and Changes
Each project includes only the revisions agreed in the quotation, proposal or written agreement.
Extra changes, new features, new pages, major design changes or work outside the original scope may require an additional fee.
6. Delays Caused by the Client
If a project is delayed because the client does not provide required content, feedback, images, login details, payments or approvals, the project may be paused.
If a project is inactive for more than 30 days without communication, it may be treated as abandoned.
If the client later wants to continue the project, a restart fee may apply.
7. Cancellation by Us
We may cancel a project if:
- the client does not make required payments
- the client does not provide required information
- the client requests illegal, harmful or unethical work
- the client is abusive, threatening or repeatedly unreasonable
- continuing the project is no longer possible for a valid reason
If we cancel a project before work has started, a refund may be issued. If work has already started, we may deduct the value of work already completed before considering any refund.
8. Third-Party Costs
Payments made to third-party services are not refundable by us.
This may include:
- domain names
- hosting
- premium themes
- plugins
- stock images
- fonts
- email services
- software subscriptions
- website tools
- payment gateway fees
Refunds for third-party services depend on the refund policy of that third-party provider.
9. How Refunds Are Processed
Approved refunds will be processed using a reasonable payment method agreed between both parties.
Refunds may take time depending on the payment provider, bank, mobile money service or other payment method used.
Transaction charges, bank charges or payment processing fees may be deducted where applicable.
10. No Waiver of Legal Rights
This policy does not remove any rights that a client may have under applicable law.
If a refund, repair, correction or replacement is required by law, this policy will be applied in line with those legal requirements.
